In Costa Rica and especially in the Manuel Antonio area, there are many hotels to select from. What makes us different is our unique location, the personalized service we are able to afford you because of our size, and the diversity of our international staff.
Although La Mansion is large in its physical appearance, we house only 8 breathtaking suites and 14 deluxe rooms. By limiting the number of our guests, we can truly give each and every one a personalized service that the other larger hotels can only boast about. We provide you this special treatment with confidence and pride, while our food service in the restaurant also continually garners rave reviews.
Another reason La Mansion stands head above the rest of the crowd is our staff. Carefully selected and trained, they are the "best of the best" that Manuel Antonio has to offer. Most of our staff has worked for me previously at the nearby Hotel Parador (where I was a co-owner for almost 5 years). Several of our staff members are actually co-owners of La Mansion through a unique investing program. In other words, they have a vested interest to provide you with the best food and the best personalized service they can give so that you will tell your friends, as well as keep coming back yourself again and again.
Lastly, there is yours truly. I am a Dutch-born U.S. citizen. I was the general manager of the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. for many years and through several Presidential Administrations. I was also the first President of the first independent, non-profit Press Club in Moscow, Russia. I have catered to many thousands of guests from all around the world for almost two decades; many considered "very high maintenance". One of my strengths is in knowing how to deal with these people, usually in their own language.
This work experience, as well as the many experiences afforded me from living throughout both the U.S. and Europe, has been invaluable in helping me to fulfill my dream of the "La Mansion" concept - Elegant enough to entertain even the most demanding head of state or celebrity, yet casual enough to remind me from where I came.
